A farmhouse breakfast event at our Pumsaint office raised £895 for farming families in financial hardship.
Farming charity R.A.B.I held its first breakfast event for many years in Wales with our support. Over 70 breakfasts were served up at Llys y Llan during a successful morning. A raffle was also held to boost funds further.
The Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (R.A.B.I) helps people from the agricultural sector in financial need throughout Wales and England. Last year, the charity paid out grants of £269k to 187 families in Wales.
Rhiannon Mercer, deputy chair of R.A.B.I’s Carmarthenshire county committee, said: “On behalf of the committee, I would like to thank Agri Advisor and their staff for their invaluable help and support. It was an intensive four hours, but also great fun. We can’t wait to put on another one!”
Linda Jones, R.A.B.I regional manager for Wales, added: “It was extremely generous of Agri Advisor to let us use their facilities. We’re also grateful for the support we received from WD Lewis a’i Fab, Evans Bros, Arwel’s Agri Services and Steffan Veterinary Services Ltd. This event illustrated all that is good about rural businesses working together for the benefit of farming people who find themselves in difficult situations, often through no fault of their own.”
Dr Nerys Llewelyn Jones, a managing partner at Agri Advisor, said: “We’re delighted to offer our support to R.A.B.I and would be more than happy to host other fundraising events at our offices in the future.”
