The beginning of 2019 has been a busy and exciting time at Agri Advisor with four new Partners recently appointed. This is further to the recruitment of Rachel Phillips to our Welshpool Office and as our Head of Property and Planning and also the promotion of three of our existing solicitors, Bryn, Awel and Manon who have shown commitment and dedication to the firm.
Rachel previously worked in Cheshire for 13 years and is a specialist Commercial and Agricultural Property solicitor.
Rachel became a Fellow of the Agricultural Law Association in 2016 and lives in North Wales and spends most of her spare time behind a piano, as Accompanist and Deputy Musical Director for the Rhos Orpheus Male Choir, and Accompanist to Cor Ger y Ffin.

Bryn Thomas joined Agri Advisor in December 2016 and heads our Dispute Resolution Team.
Bryn qualified as a solicitor in 2003 and previously worked in a private practice in Cardiff and then as a police lawyer for Dyfed Powys, Gwent, South Wales and West Midlands Police, where he was Head of Civil Litigation.
Bryn has a wealth of experience in dealing with a wide range of contentious matters including farm partnership matters, boundary and right of way disputes, contentious probate (such as ‘proprietary estoppel’) and regulatory prosecutions.
Bryn has grown up within an agricultural environment, the family farm being based in Brecon and home to a herd of 300 pedigree Welsh Black cows.
Bryn Thomas said; ‘I am delighted to have become a Partner and Head of the Dispute Resolution Team, furthering the commitment and dedication of Agri Advisor in providing the very highest standards of legal advice and assistance to our clients.’
Manon Williams joined Agri Advisor in 2012 and has trained and qualified at Agri Advisor. Manon is an experienced agricultural lawyer with particular expertise in Succession and Estate Planning, Agricultural Holdings Act tenancies and Farm Business tenancies.
Manon has been born and bred on a typical Welsh hill farm in Cil-y-cwm, Carmarthenshire and now lives in Capel Iwan and can therefore service clients throughout south west Wales. Manon became a Fellow of the Agricultural Law Association in 2017.
Manon Williams said; ‘Having trained and qualified with Agri Advisor, my time so far with the firm has been immensely rewarding and I look forward to this new opportunity having watched the firm go from strength to strength over the past 7 years.’
Awel Mai Hughes joined Agri Advisor as a solicitor in 2016 having practiced in Chester for some years. She is based in the Welshpool office and services clients throughout north and mid-Wales. Awel is an experienced Private Client lawyer with specialist knowledge in Wills, Probate, Inheritance Tax and Court of Protection matters.
Awel was raised on the family farm between Bala and Corwen and still lives locally running a beef and sheep enterprise with her husband.
