If you are interested in applying for a sustainable production grant, the next window is expected to open on the 2nd September 2019 and close on the 11th October 2019.
Applicants will be invited to put forward an Expression of Interest (EOI) to apply for 40% grant funding towards pre-identified capital items and machinery to support farmers in addressing improving water quality and nutrient management. Those applications will then be assessed by the Welsh Government and successful EOIs will be invited to put forward a full application.
The minimum grant funding available is £12,000 and the maximum is £50,000. At 40% funding, total project costs can be between £30,000 to £125,000. Applicants will need to be registered with Farming Connect and a partner in the business must attend a Sustainable Farming Roadshow Event.
It is time to take advantage of the available funding to improve slurry facilities, and silage storage because it is likely that new laws will be introduced requiring these systems to meet a certain standard. When that happens it is unlikely that there will be grant funding available. Agri Advisor have submitted successful applications in the past and would be more than happy to assist you.
