After returning home for three weeks, recovering from the Southern Hemisphere trip, farming with my parents and seeing friends it was time to set off again. I wanted to keep the momentum going. I booked my car onto the Irish Ferry to Dublin and headed off to the Emerald Isle.
Having spent some time during 2012 and 2013 in New Zealand and loving every minute I was excited to visit again, this time actually visiting farms as opposed to being a tourist.
Having completed the Contemporary Scholars Conference, after taking a short break to explore one of the Seven Wonders of the World being the Great Ocean Road and hiking around the Blue Mountains it was time to embark on my personal study…. After climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge also;
The Nuffield Journey and the Nuffield Contemporary Scholars Conference. I have been very fortunate to be awarded a 2014 Nuffield Farming Scholarship sponsored by the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society. I am grateful for the support received from Agri Advisor Solicitors my Employers, in allowing me to explore my topic “Sustainable Land Tenure for the Farmer and the next Generation” for a six month period.

As always, it has been a busy few months here at Agri Advisor. Work is continuing on the barns. However, I am pleased to say that the inside is pretty much complete, with the finishing touches being put in place at the moment. Outside is shaping up too with a lorry delivering gravel here as I speak.
It's been a while since I've had the chance to sit down and write a blog, but finally I've got round to it. It's been so busy here at Agri Advisor, with the Barns and new staff joining the team let alone lambing on top of it all!
Snow has made Pumsaint famous! Pumsaint and the road from here to Lampeter has been mentioned on the news lots of times over the past few days due to a couple of accidents on that stretch.
Happy New Year! Lambing season is well under way at Henllan with the shed quickly filling up with lambs. Grateful that this first batch is lambing indoors bearing in mind the weather over the past month. Our 5 sheepdog puppies are now 8 weeks old and are running around everywhere normally in hot pursuit of Llyr who thinks that he can outrun them!
