Employees Contractual and Statutory Notice Periods – Extended Furlough Update

From December the 1st 2020 Government has confirmed that both statutory and contractual notice period payments will not be covered by the extended furlough scheme differing from the first furlough guidance released for employers.  Employers will need to make an adjustment to HMRC when processing notice periods for employees who are in their notice period including resignation or retirement.
